Hong Kong Open
Last weekend we hit up the Hong Kong Open. Matt was able to get tickets since it was sponsored by UBS. A gorgeous weekend for golf. Temperatures were in the 50's and 60's. So nice to have a change of pace for the weekend. We weren't supposed to take pictures so these were snuck in on my iphone.
The Hong Kong Golf Club has been the host of the Hong Kong Open since the tournament started in 1959. The club is located in Hong Kong (in Fanling), but it is technically closer Shenzhen. Took us about an hour to get to the course. Most of the buildings that you see in the background golf shots are actually in Shenzhen.
Walking in, it was pretty empty. Stayed that way until the end of the day
Rory leading the way
Gorgeous course on a beautiful day
Matt's attempt for the hole in one shot to win a round trip business class flight
With our friends, Ben and Erin
Here come the crowds- Rory time (see all the people walking up the path in the back of the photo)
The woman in green couldn't control the crowds. Pretty entertaining to watch her try
Rory McIlroy of course won the tournament (partially do to this shot). At age 22, he is the #2 golfer in the world.
See you next year boys!
