Father's Day Gift Guide

Men are hard to shop for. Especially when you have a dad as picky as mine. I will spare you the stories for another time, but let's just say the man now ends up with a lot of Home Depot giftcards. For the men in our lives who have everything, here are some ideas for dear old dad:

Soundview Millworks Cutting Boards
A shamless plug from my buddy Grant, who started the company a few years ago. Great cutting boards and fine wood accessories. Perfect for Dad (or your next wedding gift). Mention Now and Zenn and get 15% off orders over $100 for Father's Day (must be placed on or before Sunday, June 4th)

Find all of his products online: www.soundviewmillworks.com and on Facebook: www.facebook.com/pages/Soundview-Millworks/114009448661410

Tervis Tumblers
Once you use these glasses, you will never go back! Double-walled insulation on these puppies really keeps your drink hot or cold. The best part is that there is no sweating whatsoever. Kiss your coasters goodbye! I personally love a lot of ice in my drinks so these are great. And Tervis Tumblers are pretty much indestructible. They won’t crack, melt, shatter, or chip. And if anything does happen to it, Tervis will replace it-no matter how long you've owned the glasses!

Check your Dad's university book store or online at www.tervis.com. You can sometimes find them on eBay as well

All sorts of personalization (I just love monograms, don't you?)

Good Ol' Family Fun with Bocce Ball
Great yard game that can also be played on the beach. I always enjoyed a good game around the 4th of July. This game doesn't require a whole lot of skill so everyone (young and old) can play.

I picked up a set at Target, but you should also be able to find a set at your local sporting good store

Custom Cheese Platter
Who doesn't love cheese? Make your gift unique by heading to your local market and picking up a variety of delicious cheeses. And don't be shy to ask for help in picking a good selection. Try a few samples too. Pick up some nuts and fruit, to go along with it and you are set. Take it up and notch and throw in some salami or prosciutto for Daddy-O.

If you live in New York, you gotta go to Murray's cheese- da best!

Vilebrequin Swimming Trunks
Just in time for Summer! These darling swimming shorts even come in kids sizes so father and son can match. Being matchy-matchy is a bit much for me, but hey, if it floats your boat- go for it! Online and at fine retailers (Lord & Taylor, Saks, etc.)

And for the rest of you...
Who wait until the last minute to get his gift (i.e. you are driving over to his house to celebrate empty handed). Swing by the Liquor store and pick up a nice bottle of his favorite. But please, if you are going this route, make it top shelf.

This could be you!

Here's to you Dad (imaginary Greyhound in hand)! Wish I could be with you to celebrate! Have a happy father's day!
